Trail System

Close to urban areas with wilderness in our backyard, Auburn Lake Trails (ALT) is an outdoor lover’s paradise. There are literally hundreds of miles of established hiking and equestrian trails directly accessible from ALT, including the Wendell T Robie Trail and the Western States Trail. ALT Staff maintain 20+ miles of trails within our boundary as an amenity for the hiking and riding pleasure of residents and guests.

The Lakeside Clubhouse

THE LAKESIDE CLUBHOUSE is located by the Pool, Westville Park and Golf Course on Westville Trail.
It is also available for rental for private affairs (weddings, receptions, etc.) and may be reserved through the office for a fee. The Lakeside Clubhouse has a fully equipped warming kitchen.

The Golf Course

THE GOLF COURSE, which is open all year, is a 9-hole par-29 course sanctioned by the NCGA. There is no charge to members, but guests must pay fee prior to play. A Golf ID card is required to play the course, and all golf and etiquette rules apply. There are several golf groups organized, but you do not need to be a member of any of these to enjoy the ALT course. To check if course is open call 530-210-2227.

The Campground

THE CAMPGROUND is a ‘wilderness’ hideaway with restrooms and water/electrical hookups to camper/trailer pads at reasonable rates. Reservations are required at Community Services.

The Barnloft
THE BARNLOFT is the largest facility and is used for many ALT events such as the annual Foothill Follies (when it becomes the Barnloft Theatre), bimonthly WIFFS luncheons, dinners, Town Meetings, etc. It has a stage and wood flooring, good for dancing. It is also available for rental for private affairs (weddings, receptions, etc.) and may be reserved through the office for a fee. The Barnloft has a fully equipped warming kitchen.
The ALT Gallery

THE ALT GALLERY is similar to the Barnloft but with a slightly smaller capacity. It is also available for rental for private affairs (weddings, receptions, etc.) and may be reserved through the office for a fee. The Gallery is carpeted and has a fully equipped warming kitchen.

Stables & Arena

Auburn Lake Trails has enclosed stables and several open paddocks for horses. The arena hosts occasional horse events through the local Silver Spurs club.

Paddocks for one horse – $125 per month
Paddocks for two horses – $ 190 per month
Stable for one horse – $ 85 per month

You do your own feeding and cleaning. Water is available in each paddock & stable.

Courts

There are 2 locations of tennis courts. Rec Lake and Westville Park.
There is a double court at Lakeside, with night lighting, and a single court at Rec Lake, which also features a new basketball court.

Diehl Field Park

The beautifully maintained playing field hosts many different ball games for all ages. Though too small for a standard baseball field, Soccer teams practice regularly. There is also a volleyball sandpit, boccie ball court, Pickle Ball court and a basketball court. There is a shaded picnic area for family use. Diehl Park is often a staging area for outdoor community events.

Library

The Library is open Tuesday, Thursday, & Saturday 1:00 – 4:00 PM

Rec Lake and Park

Indian Bow Lake is also known as ‘Rec Lake’. It includes sandy beach areas, playground and picnic facilities. Limited non-motorized boating and fishing are allowed in designated areas. No reservations, no fees.
